COVINGTON, La. (WGNO) – A man trapped in a 10-foot deep trench near a construction site in Covington was rescued about two hours after the trench collapsed. The worker was airlifted to a New Orleans area hospital.
The two men were working in a trench near the corner of Hwy 21 and Pinnacle Parkway Thursday when it collapsed, killing one of the workers.
The St. Tammany Fire and Rescue, as well as, the St. Tammany Sheriff’s Department worked to free the trapped man.
